Help with video tape formats

KaTz (Elite) posted this on Thursday, 9th September 2004, 01:14

Hi Guyz
My old camcorder has gone down the tubes, and I`m left with loads of 8mm Tapes.

I`ve tried looking on Ebay for a cheap 8mm camcorder, but they all go for around £100, and I can buy a brand new one for £150.

I can either get a new samsung camcorder or get one of a different format.

The question I have is:

Which video format is compatable with 8mm.
Hi 8 ... or ... Digital 8

I know someone here will have the answer.

Thanks

KaTz

Buy a mini DVd recorder & borrow from friend or shop an 8mm camera & transfer your 8mm tapes to DVD.
