I was told in Richersounds today that you cannot print (using the new printers) onto DVD+Rs. I find it hard to believe. Could one of you knowledgeable pepole let me know if you can or cannot. Thanks in advance. sam
:/ can`t be true, as printable dvd+r`s would not be available, but they are allways for sale at the computer fair. i think he`s talkin bollox myself.
general nobody @ www.dvdreviewer.co.uk and now www.x-disk.com/viewforum.php?f=41 for all things X-BOX
Yes you can - Epson R200 on sale at PC World for £69.99!! Prints on CD/DVD`s directly!!
As does the Canon i865 which has a special detachable carrier for this purpose. Does a brilliant job.

The Epson R200 is good, but what is not clear until after you buy it and try it is that it only works with inkjet ready DVD and CD media. The DVD+R in question was probably a non-inkjet type. The ink just beads up and does not dry--a frustrating discovery for me!

You sure? The 300`s we had at work did, as did my 950 when I bought it?
And don`t mean to sound nasty, but an inkjet printer can`t print to anything other than an inkjet ready source :/
If you wanted to print onto ANY CDR/DVDR then you`d need a screenprinter...I believe they start at around £1K + Lol
(I looked at some before grabbing me 950)
Another route, the one I used before me inkjet printables was to label the disc FIRST, then print, but be warned, the label has to be 100% centred, no bubbles etc, and in some cases, will still peel off in a player (although none of mine ever have!)
