Page 1 of I love Tescos

Just took back my 9 month old Wharfdale 750 to Tescos cos it`s crap.
Swapped it for an LG-3000E which is so much better it`s not true.
The Wharfdale (apart from inherrent crapness) was covered in scratches, I forgot the remote and was unboxed. They gave me a new player and a £30 refund cos the LGs only £149! I was smiling all afternoon.
Try doing that with some fy-by-night dot-com - no chance!.

Too right `fecker`! I also returned my Wharfie for a refund, though I`d only had it about three months, I was generally pleased with it, (although as a CD player it sounded pretty ropey) and received a full refund as easy as that. As a supposed upgrade, I decided to buy a `chipped` Toshiba SD100e on-line from Techtronics. The thing was the biggest pile of junk! The picture would keep cutting out after a few minutes playing discs from r1, r2 & r0 so I returned it for a refund. Two weeks later I`m still waiting, `cause those lying barstewards at Techcronics maintain that the player is OK - bulls***! I have since passed this matter on to my credit card company. Apologies for the rant, but to agree again with the above, I would not make a purchase of an item like a dvd player on-line ever again...

but you can hack it to play vcd but only original pressed one`s

I have a lg3000e and I am happyily playing MP3s on it. But they are on a original pressed CD. Not much good really. I wonder why LG. Declined from mentioning that VCD and MP3s could be played on the LG 3000e. Does anybody have any idea how old this machine is as I got mine just this week and have not been able to find a review of it anywhere.

I`m not bothered about VCD`s , but can u explain how you got it to play MP3s?
Also has anyone got a multi-region hack that has been tested on the 3000E (lots of different ones on here for 3200 etc...)

the multi region hack for the 3000e is the same as the lg 3350 which is in great detail on ITTROLL`s site which is http://www.lgdvd.co.uk and it
work`s i have played gladiator region 1 without any problems.

only original mp3`s and vcd,s like those on the front of magizines can be
played back again see ITTROLL`S site for hack

Don`t you guy`s know that all sites like this are monitored by the Federation Against Retail Crime (FARC). Right now Tesco are checking every return transaction to track you down. You don`t think they give out those points on the cards out of the goodness of their tickers do you - oh no every transaction can be monitored. every con merchant tracked. Sleep with one eye open from now on!
