Hi Andy,

If you`d done a search in this forum or the software forum you`d find that many of us have asked the same question previously and that there`s a wealth of info on this very subject.

Anyway I`ll try and assist in this thread as I know how frustrating this type of problem can be.

The 750S has a video out default setting of PAL, whereas you`re R1 disk is recorded in the US NTSC format, some players convert NTSC to PAL very well, however this isn`t the case with the 750S.

To workaround this, go into the DVD players menu, and skip to the second menu page, first item is `Video Out`, change this to AUTO and then save and exit the menu.

This now means that when an R2 disk is played it will select video out as PAL and when you play R1s it will play as NTSC.

The second part of this is can your TV handle either NTSC/PAL60 or probably better still good old RGB. If you have an older TV that can`t handle NTSC, PAL60 or RGB then the picture would be black & white and may have lines across it, but theres not many TVs these days that don`t support these standards.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Chris
