Page 1 of SKY + Connections

I have put an optical lead from the Sky + into my DVD player but when I turn on my DVD player and try to watch a disk I get sound but no picture, please help???

The Sony model is a DAVS500

it might be that the scart on the SKY+ box is overiding the scart from your DVD player, is the Sky+ box scarted to the TV and the DVD daisy chained thru the Sky+ box via the decoder or VCR scart on the Sky+ box.

Sounds like you have the audio connected ok but not the picture.

You are aware the optical connection is audio only, aren`t you? You will also need to make a Scart>Scart connection too.
