Pioneer DV535 v Cyberhome AD-M512?

canary (Harmless) posted this on Sunday, 18th March 2001, 10:54

I have a chance of either buying the Pioneer for £180 (Region free) or the Cyberhome (also Region free) at £150.

I know the Cyberhome can be made to play RCE discs without too much fuss but the Pioneer cannot apparently. However, I presume that the Pioneer will have better picture and sound quality.

Which do I go for? Is the Cyberhome of a similar picture quality or is the Pioneer the one to go for at the expense of compatibility problems with some discs in future?

All advice welcome.

Buy the pioneer 530 from www.multiregionmagic.co.uk £199 if you can afford it inc next day delivery. Its the same as the 535 except no optical out. and it has a nice brushed silver aluminium finish.
Plays any disc R1 R2 RCE VCD CDRW no mp3 though. Manual and auto switching macro disabled. Best picture by far in this price range and the sound is great. you can`t go far wrong.
