I`ve had 3 sony`s, 1 Kv28FX20 and 2 KV32FX20 They all suferd from
Geometry problems and sony themselves told my retailer that they only
make one good one in fifty, but they get away with most of them. So
now my retailer will not guarantee this anymore so i`ve got to play
the £1000 lucky dip with one more chance, will it be better or
worse?????
Sony sort yourselves out.
Any one else had this problem
Tony

The FX20 and FX60 range do suffer from geometry problems. (quite common on any widescreen CRT tvs especially flat screens)
Most of the time a service engineer can sort it out as sony supplied options in the service menu for sorting out geometry problems.
I have a 28FX20 and I was luckly that the first one I got had good geometry, the only problems I get are when it`s in 4:3 mode, hite light tend to make the picture bulge.
You are covered by the sales of good act. etc
The Office of Fair Trading website states:
"The law says it is up to the seller to deal with complaints about defective goods or other failures to comply with your statutory rights. So do not accept the excuse that "it`s the manufacturer`s fault". But you may have additional rights against the manufacturer under a guarantee. "

Hey Bear !! You`ve been listening to Anne Robinson too much....there`s nothing wrong with us Welsh !! (Nothing that a good sheep can`t sort out anyway)
I used work at the Sony TV Plant in Wales , most of Europe and Asia are supplied by this Plant. You`ve won`t get a Japanese made set in the UK (Excluding early widescreen models). As for the Quality....I`m amazed they`ve ever made a good one , considering the processes involved , but that goes for most TV manufacturers. Sony engineers will tell you the safest bet for quality and reliability are the Philips TV`s.
