Toshiba 42wt29b - Good RPTV? worth £500!? comments?

i have the option to get one of these for £500, any good of a telly? also can it be removed from the base as i have limted space to get it into my room!
i was looking at plasma but can only fford £1000 (so no chance there obviously!) so when this came along i was laughing, just need some honest opinions! read most reviews i can find which are very mixed, help!

Yeah, great buy for £500, and no, it can`t be removed from it`s "base" That is, if by base, you mean the lower two to three vertical feet of the set.
This is actually the housing for the CRT projection system, and is part of the actual TV body. (it should stand around 4 1/2 foot high from the floor...thats one piece)
Still has the usual RPTV probs like screenburn and convergence, but for £500 it`s a good buy.
