at the moment i have a philips 20" tv/video combi which i love.does anyone know when/if tv makers are going to make a tv/dvd recorder combi ?? thanks

Only a matter of time. I`d venture your `budget` manufacturers (Goodmans,Bush etc.etc.) go down that route to cater for the `ease of use over quality` brigade long before the big boys think about it,if they bother at all. I don`t see the point myself. Too restrictive,in that you cannot upgrade one without the other,and I often suspect performance is compromised/secondary.

One of the things I like doing is designing new audio, hi-fi and AV gear. I did a design of a TV with recordable DVD a few days ago - it`ll be Nicam only though, but you`d have the possibility of pumping the 5.1 sound to an external amp.
I also have designs for a dual DVD deck, with one deck being recordable and also a DAB AV receiver!!

Hi `ve just bought a bush DVRHS01 which is a video/dvd recorder got it from Argos 533/3332 it`s a substitute for a bush dvd recorder,just wish i could get the macrovision off.
