ive just purchased a kenwood 5030 receiver my dvd is connected by optical and sounds excellent but which connections to i use to input the phonos from my sky digi box ive tried then in video but i dont get dolby pro logic etc just 2 speaker icons come on the amp and it sounds s***e i did have a crappy aiwa dolby prologic hifi b4 and skydigital sounded good any advice ?

just out of interest - where did you track down the kenwood amp? - all the local richer sounds are permanently out of stock!

the amp is now discontinued line i got mine from a wholesaler who i deal with at work although it was £140.00 but i have seen then in certain dixons i dont know wether there price has come down yet i know in middlesbrough its still 199.00 its a excellent amp for the price its my first upgrade from dolby prologic the difference is emmence now im saving for a sub woofer the company i got mine from was b.d.c part of the bridsco group they have warehouse up and down the country although you would have to ring them to see if they would deal direct with the public as they are wholesaler you never know they might because they probably wouldnt want to get stuck with load of 5030s
