Cyberhome DVD 400 / 402

Out of interest, anyone know if there are any real differences between these 2 players other than the newer one being in a smaller case and without an LCD panel?

I`m assuming there have been tweaks and some sort of upgrading... it`s just that if you can find a WH Smith store with any of the older ones left you can now get it for £24.99 :)

My Cyberhome 400, which someone got me for my birthday in July, blew up last night in the middle of Blakes 7!!!! The disc froze and the tv screen went all green pixels. Then the machine stuck itself on standby, then there was a loud pop and burning noise.
Has anyone seen any fault/recall notices for these? Also what would be my chances of returning it to WHS without a receipt, but with box and papers? Werent WHSmith the only store that sold these over here?

You need to contact Pulse to arrange swapout, the address phone no has been posted on the site frequently.

Not sure what they want in way of proof of purchase. :/

thanks for that, oh great timelord!!

Pulse are awaiting stock but they will ring me back with an update.

For reference, they dont ask for proof of purchase. They just ask your name address, contact no, DVD player model, and serial n umber.
