Page 1 of Ronin P80H no RGb through SCART??

I upgraded to the latest firmware (03113216, not the older 11721213), and the options "off", "YUV", and "SCART" under the component tab in video setup page have reappeared again (they disappeared with the first upgrade). Now I set component to "SCART", expecting to get RGB output, but the picture is still composite. how do i get RGB output?I have also noticed how there is no "VGA" option unlike as it says in the manual.

This is a firmware update problem that also removes the dvd audio function!

just got a reply from them about it, here is what they said:

"Is your P80H a Karaoke machine. I have been going through the menu options with
one of our repair technicians and ther is no RGB option on the Karaoke version
of this machine on all of the ones we have tested. This option is only
available on the P80H without Karaoke. We can exchange your unit for the
original P80H if this helps.
Please let me know what you would like to do."

I think I will exchange for the old model, once a few questions have been answered, like whether I have to pay for this, do they collect or do I post, and whether RGB mode stays there once I have inputted the multiregion remote code. And the old one plays the same types of media as the new one, or at least the ones I am likely to use, ie, DVD,DVD-R,VCD,CD-R,CD-RW. Once I get a reply from them I will let you know.

I have the karaoke machine. What exactly does RGB output do? I have mine playing through scart (YUV was the other option) and it is playing fine top quality audio and video. I have made it multi region by upgrading the firmware. It plays all the discs you have mentioned.

RGB output gives much better video - colours look much better and picture is crisper.

The old model still plays VCDs made on CDR/CDRW right?
