To Jezababe. Did you buy the NAPA MP3/VCD CD-player?
I know it was a long time ago, but I have just discovered that there is an identical but other-badged NAPA DAV-310 which, in Spain at least, is selling for two-thirds of the latter. Only difference is a less glitzy black case. It`s called the WAITEC TANKY, and information can be had at www.waitec.com/mp3.htm

Hi Kevindal
No I didn`t get the NAPA, I ended up buying a digital camera instead! Not very good at playing mp3 files though. Doh!
So, I`m still considering which portable MP3 player to get. There`s a Pine one which can display Mp3 tags. That Waitec Tanky (watch that spoonerism!) looks pretty much identical to the Napa. Where did you see a price for it? The web site says it`s not on sale yet. BTW the correct URL appears to be http://www.waitec.com/df-mp3.htm.
Actually, do you know of a portable like this which also plays SVCD? That would save me having to sell the Aiwa to buy another player just to get SVCD support.
Thanks
Jez

Hi Chaps,
I`ve been thinking of getting the Napa MP3/VCD player too. Have you got any details about it? I`ve tried to find out about the batteries (does it take disposables as well, ???battery life? etc) But no joy from the web sites.
Anyone actually got one?

Ive got one, its a bit of a mixed bag, the battery is a special, built in one (apparently hard to get hold of but I havent tried) and it only lasts for a couple of hours, which is a shame when youve got several albums worth of music. Sound playback is ok.
