Page 1 of 4:3 Television with over scan?

Hi (btw hope this is in the right area)

A mate of mine is looking for a 4:3 (ideally) television that he can use to see the parts of the image that`ve been overscanned (if that`s correct).

Any one know of any? Thanks.

There was A TV that had overscan facility, but we are talking 1998-this is the only one I have ever seen.

It was a Samsung CW-30A90SD

You probably will have difficulties finding one now - you could try E-Bay

All TVs are supposed to have overscan (meaning the very edge of the picture is hidden from view) - what you`re really after is a TV without overscan. :)

You won`t find one which comes like this (the overscan is there for a reason!) but it can be removed on most modern TVs with a couple of service menu adjustments.

Alternatively, watch the DVDs on a PC - that way, you can see any part of the image you like.
