Sound and Vision are doing this model for £750, is it any good and is this as cheap as they get?

That`s a great price, but the LCD forum at avforums might be worth checking out for confirming that it`s the best price, and more info on this machine. I have the earlier AE100, and find it great - sure you could get better black levels with better PJs, etc etc, but for the money, it`s great. There were reliability issues with AE100 power supplies, but hopefully that`s long in the past now.
I`ve got an AE300 and can`t recommend it highly enough... all 3 Panasonic models are well worth the money, however, be warned that the European version of the AE500 is on the horizon (it`s out now in Japan I think) so there may be a dramatic price drop over the coming months. Having said that, if you keep waiting for the next best thing to come along you`d never buy anything so just go for it - it`s a good price for a great projector.
