i pressed the wrong button that turned my remote to dvd 2 instead of 1 and it doesnt work, what can i do.I cant operate it completly. Is there a button on the recorder that lets me set it back to its factory settings.
RE: Help panny e50 remote buggered
I`m looking at my remote and don`t know what you`re talking about. Have you moved the switch (top right) to tv instead of dvd?
RE: Help panny e50 remote buggered
I found the setting in the setup menu the other day. Could have two E50`s at the same time! Cool!
RE: Help panny e50 remote buggered
i got it sorted dont know how but it works again and i still love my dvd recorder.
RE: Help panny e50 remote buggered
Just power it off and back on, preferably by removing the mains lead :)

Great machine. Any info to share on dvd-r discs? So far I`ve tried panasonic (expensive), datawrite yellow, white label and now bulkpac green (ridiculously cheap ie 30/40p) and they all work well.

Agree totally - great machine - DVD-R`s - I`ve used several now but I`ve found the
RITEK 1xspeed printable to be the most reliable - CD-RMedia.co.uk - £19.25 for 25
bulk pack - next day delivery... excellent service...
You might like to check this out - EPSON STYLUS R300m - prints direct onto cd`s/dvd`s - prints borderless photos - has 7 slots for all types of media for digital
cameras - can print direct from media cards without the need for a PC. - £150 -
only released in October....
cheers....
PS - Has anyone got anything good to sat about the MIco DVD recorder..???

Best Dye Type: Ritek G03 (1x and 2x) or apparently, Ritek G04 (4x)
aint tried the 4x`s meself so cant say, but good reports from others.
(the Ritek printable 1x`s are probably G03, but thats an expensive price nowadays!)
SVP Communications are great for media, deliver fast and cheap prices ( www.blankdiscshop.co.uk) and put the info on the disc dye type on their site.
On the printers side: Dunno about the R300, aint seen it, but I run a Stylus Photo 950, direct to disc and borderless printing...great machine, but Epson released a Stylus Photo 900 for under £200, and recently the Dixons mob were selling them for £75! (same capabilities, but an "all in one" colour cart...dead easy to refill though)
However, worth noting, you need either PRINTABLE discs, or labels attached first. (Printable DVD and CD usually have a matt finish, so I prefer labelling meself...downside to labelling is the adhesive can "lift" if the player heats up too much)
