hi, im looking to purchase a DVD recorder, i have been reading your posts about the Panasonic DMRE50 with some interest and have been checking this out on the web for prices, i also then came across the Toshiba DR-1 DVD recorder which looks very good!, its got some impressive features for just a bit more cash. does anybody have one of these units and how are you getting on with it?.

any comments regards this to try and guide me on my purchase would be fantastic!.

cheers,

paul.

The Panny DMR E-50 has RGB in on AV2 but only for PAL. For £250-275 multiregion this machine looks unbeatable. Not a single failure on dozens of different discs. However, the disc structure of DVD+R is better and I`ve yet to find a dvd player (and I`ve tried many) that won`t play this format unlike the Panny`s DVD-R.
