My AIWA 370 seems too play c:a 50% of the mp3 disks i have! I´ve gotten a couple from my friend, one played perfect, the other didn´t play at all! What program do burn with? Is it only Nero that will work? Do you have ti fiddle around with the option in WinOnCd perhaps!? Please help!
i use easy cd creator 4.02 - close the session and they play like a dream - file names are bollox but i can`t be bothered re typing being a lazy git.Do make sure that the file extensions are mp3 and not some other extension as some programs will modify them on the fly when you install their program.
Read page 34 of the manual very carefully, it sets out the rules for creating CDs. There are lots of limitations, but it does work. Remember it`s not a computer. The most important thing is that it can only play the first session on a disk, so the CD must be written in one hit. It cannot read disks where files have been added one at a time.
My method.
1 Create a new folder on the PC and paste into it the MP3 files.
2 If you want to read the file names on the TV screen, rename the files using only uppercase A-Z and 0-9, 14 chrs max.
3 Load either a new blank CD-R or a blank, formatted CD-RW and write the contents of the folder to the CD in one go. I use Adaptec Easy CD Creator.
Good luck.
I have found NO restrictions on the mp3 format! Every different type of mp3 I`ve thrown at it, it`s played no problem. And I`ve also used a few different authoring tools, again no problem.
