I am looking for a player to replace/supplement a Sony 715. It should have the following: Easy multi-region NTSC as PAL 50 (to send to older sets) Easy to switch Macro off It is likely to feed a projector so perhaps component out Don`t need onboard decoding (Denon 3801)
Any suggestions?

Buy a scan sc 2000 and upgrade to 2.08s firmware to disable macro.

Do you mean v208s or v208?
There is definately a v208 that works (available at http://hdubois.free.fr/scan/), but if there is a 208s then do you know what the differences are?
