Page 1 of Cheap DVD Player in UK
Hardware Forum
I`m looking for a cheap DVD Player in the UK. I am sure that many I have seen are all the same device with a different name on it.
Found this one at www.idealcomputing.co.uk. Found the manufacturer`s website and it looks exactly the same as one on sale at Dixons for £60, but with different name.
Is this drive any good? I`ve spent too much time looking now, I just want to buy the thing.
RONIN SETTOP DVD MP3/VCD SILVER 215 R £41.00 .
Its £55.12 including vat and delivery at the site you said.
Why this model? Its also here but out of stock - http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/acatalog/Hardware_Section__.html
Have you considered the Pacific at Asda, only £45. Plays all the same discs as the Ronin from the test I did on a friends. You get a free 3 or 5 year guarantee and if your not happy with its easy to take back.
Ronin & review here - http://uk.special.reserve.co.uk/q_GG9403_ronin_p215_midi_mu.html
Thanks. I had been sent an email with the Ronin drive as a special offer and it is the right size etc. to sit under my portable tv without looking bad. But basically I just want a cheap DVD drive.
Had a look at Asda website and couldn`t find a single DVD Player... found their site very irritatingly difficult to navigate. My nearest ASDA store is miles away and I do prefer the convenience of buying online.
Sound like the Ronin player is OK. Will wait to see if I get more info here before I purchase.
Worth a trip to Asda. Review and picture below

Go to Sainsburys & buy the biggest selling DVD players in the UK. MICO, reliable as well.
