LG3000E

Hi,

I`ve just swapped my tempermental Wharfedale 750 for an LG3000E.

First impressions are good and it plays all but one of my discs, except It can`t play Toy Story Ultimate Edition disc 3 yet.

I contacted LG UK last week on Thursday and they knew nothing about the model at all (They even gave me the number of another manufacturer!!) . Today I received a telephone call from their Service Agents telling me that LG are going to release a firmware update in the next 2 weeks and then they will send out an updated player to swap with mine.

I will keep you informed.

Rob

So what are they going to give you instead, where did you buy it, and how much did you pay?

PN,

Sorry,

When they swap out the unit it will be with an `new` model from LG with updated firware. I suspect they will start off with new model and then recycle the returns.

I got this unit from Tesco in Morning Lane, Hackney for £169.

Also I tried the LG3200 Region hack last night and it seems to have worked, I now need a region 1 disk to try.

According to LG the 3000e is exactly the smae as the 3000 except its silver. IF this is the case its just a Scan 2000 clone and the 3200`s hack shouldnt work.....try using the Scan`s old hack and see if that works (or try using the 3200`s code to chage to player to region one and try playinga region 2 disk)

The 3000e took the Hack for the 3200 and plays my Region 1 Abyss SE perfectly (including seamless branching).
