what is the difference between macrovision disabled and vcr mode (as advertised on techtronics)?
if macrovision is permanently enabled on this model is there any disadvantage to not being able to disable macrovision?
if i buy a machine from curry`s will it be different from techtronics machine? if i can change the region with the remote hack and macrovision is permanently disabled then what is the difference?

No, VCR mode IS macro disable.

Certain Projection TV`s don`t like macro signals, and you can`t run through a VCR if you have macro enabled!

The remote hack doesn`t disable the macro facility.
