Hi there,
I`ve been suffering for over a year now with sync problems on this player (purchased from Richer Sounds). Quite often the sound and picture will play out of sync with each other - they seem to gradually slip as the movie proceeds.
It seems ok on some discs and can sometimes be resolved by pausing the movie and re-starting it.
A NAD tech told me that this issue was something to do with the way discs were encoded and could be solved with a firmware upgrade. The problem is, because I bought the player from a dealer outside of NAD`s fascist regime I doubt they will do the firmware upgrade for me :^(
Does anybody know somewhere I could download this update from and install it myself. I`ve searched the web for hours to no avail...
If I can`t do that I`m going to have to try and sell the player and get another. The trouble is that, apart form the above mentioned problem, the picture and sound quality are absolutely excellent. It would just be nice if they were excellent in tandem!
Does anybody have any recommendations for a player that is as good, picture and sound-wise, and that doesn`t have any `issues`.
I would go for another NAD - but I`ve been put off by this experience.
