Page 1 of Panasonic tv signal

Hi folks so i`m stupid cos i played about but now need help.
i have two pana dvd recorders drme20 and 30 also a pioneer 717 which is chipped they obviously record r2 discs but not r1 because needs video mode defaulting but by switching between pal and ntsc input on the recorders trying to cure it they have both stuck on ntsc input even when i change with the setup menu neither will record from r2 or even from tv.
i was told by an engineer at a company today this can happen with the pana`s but did not tell me how to cure so simple question how do i cure ???

try the factory reset i think you just press the on button for 20 seconds (could be wrong but it`s worth ago)
