Samsung DVD-S224 Problem

Meusa (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Wednesday, 23rd April 2003, 17:51

Lo all, ive noticed a very strange problem when using the RGB signal with this player. When there is a lot of green on the screen near the top it appeares much brighter than normal and it seems to flood into things things thats shouldnt be green.

Its hard to explain ive never seen anything like it before but the problem seems to disappear when using S-Video signal instead but id prefere to use RGB as the quality is much better.

Ive tried using a different player on my TV which is a Bush Widescreen and the problem no longer exists when using RGB even with the same scart lead.

Could there be something wrong with my player?

Ive got a 224 and had it for about 12 months with no problems with rgb so it sounds as if there is somthing wrong with it take it back and get a new one but ask them to test it for you before you go home just in case.
