I need to upgrade DVD players as my current one isn`t great. I was looking at the Sony S735D as it had good reviews. Can anyone else reccomend this player, is it that good?
Any help is much appreciated.

Yes it is that good. Indeed it is perhaps the finest player available. The only drawback is that you will have to have a chip modification to play R1 discs which can be expensive if the job is done correctly. Think £450.
