Erm..can`t really say Res, `cause I`VE NEVER ACTUALLY NOTICED a layer change pause on mine..::grin::

Even on my "problem" discs.

Oh, and I wrote the review! ;o)

used to happen all the time on my tosh sd100 so im pleased with it.

What`s a layer change and when does it occur?

Because like Jimbo say`s on his web site, it takes a little while to recognise / start playing the DVD when you pop it in, and same again when you press stop and then play again. Is this anything to do with a layer change?

Nice review Jimbo - only just found it. Didn`t realise Reviewer had a "Reader`s Wives" section.

just wondered cos on my jvc xv523 the layer change is about a second which isn`t too bad but is really noticeable on dvds such as gladiator where the change is in the middle of a scene.

Can anyone recommend any other players with unnoticeable layer changes.

cheers
