Pacific 1002 - Jittery Picture when watching Reg.1 DVDs

Rob Chandler (Harmless) posted this on Tuesday, 17th December 2002, 12:55

Have successfully got both region hacks to work, but get a very jittery picture when watching Region 1 DVDs. When I switch the setting to NTSC from the set-up menu, the playback is fine (no longer jittery), but obviously I have no colour!!

Help? Please!!

Will your TV take RGB input as I assume your DVD player will output in RGB if you configure it?

I have RGB output to my TV and I dont get any picture problems at all no matter what region or TV standard is on the DVD disc. In fact, with RGB I get a crisper picture.

No idea - currently have it connected SCART.

Will give it a go!

Thanks.

Problem solved. Needed to set the TV setting to NTSC `BEFORE` playing the DVD and then it plays fine!!!

Thanks for your help anyway.

Cheers.

Rob.
