I`m considering buying one of these two players, so comments on their performance from any owners would be appreciated.

Get sony. It is alot more expensive, but you will end up with quality. I own one!
the 335 is simple and yes sony do better, but i think it does the job very well and it is commonly used in home cinemas setups, so it cant be bad!!
All right its not used really(i have only seen it used twice, when the client had a small budget of 20K) but , the quality is fantastic.
