Page 1 of Best DVD Recorder for editing

Hi all,
I`m considering buying either the Panasonic DMR-E30 or the Philips DVDR 880 but I need to know which one is best for editing.
I want to remove adverts, intro`s etc after I`ve recorded them and play them on a separate DVD player. For this I am most interested in using write once media.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
