Can anybody tell me if this DVD machine will play any type of copys if so what make of discs

The "Dansai 852" will play VCD and SVCD (lip sinc errors on some) but not sure about DVD-R.
Is that what you were asking?

ive got one it plays everything even mpeg files can be choosy with cheap dvdrs cut at 2x but only sometimes

Nice machine. Just watched R1 `Insomnia` on it (good film) and you can switch off macro. Pity Tesco bowed to the big guns in the DVD forum and withdrew it from sale. Really looking after the customer interest that time, eh?

I think it depends on the player, if your a lucky one it will play them, I was not one of the lucky one`s. I had to keep re-inserting the disc and switching on and off to get it to recognise them and I tried most of the cheap brands of DVD-R. Finally exchanged it for the Dansai 1010, this plays all my DVD-R`s even my cheap 60p ones.

Plus it does everything the 852 does (with disc from teso) for £20 less.
