its a sanyo widescreen tv and when whatching a widescreen film or program it cuts out part of the picture at top and botom of screen no mater what seting i put it too if i set it to 4:3 i can see more of the picture than if i put it to 16:9 when whatchin 16:9 program is that normal?


also i am looking for another tv 28" widescreen that does ntsc whats cheapest about atm

I may be wrong but i would check that if using a dvd player or any digital tv / sat box that you have it set for using them with a widescreen tv.Or you will on some sets have your problem.

yea i tryed this and it is set to widescreen tv it works fine with other widescreentv i just think its a s*** tv:P and i shall chuck it out me window
and buy a new one

what is teletext like do you miss the clock or the fastext buttons top and bottom and what is your model of television.

Well if you ar after a new tv the philips 28pw6006 is a stonker. Had mine for £324 delivered form www.anything-direct.com
Absolutely cracking tv and amazing service. Ordered on monday afternoon and it was delivered on wednesday morning.

Hi I had the same problem and so i phone the company that i brought the tv from and they sent someone out to fix it i think you can press down channel on the tv whilst holding the green button on the remote then turn on the tv and you should get some text on the screen you can then adjust just like a monitor horizontal and vertical position and also horizontal and vertical size hope this helps...ps i think its down maybe up you will just have to try
