Has anyone got this player if so will the RI,RCE titles play on it

RCE discs should be no problem with most of the familiar MR mods available for the NS700s.

You might want to read this thread as the new 705 is now out with MP3 playing capabilities.

I`ve got the 700 and it plays RCE disks no problem at all. But it might depend on which multi-region chip you have fitted?

I`ve just got the 705 - and it plays Snatch R1 (according to my flatmate - I haven`t seen the beast yet) - which I believe is RCE.

It came from webeletricals.

Nothing to do with this subject but you all seem to know your stuff.

I have a JVC AV32T25 that accepts NTSC playback. I was about to buy a sony DVD DVPNS700 which according to Richer sounds has NTSC playback compatability. He then told me he does not think it has a decoder in to convert the picture from black and white to colour and thus I would be watching black and white picture on my TV. Does that mean I cannot use region one DVD`s from the states on my Setup. Should I opt for a different DVD player as I have not yet bought it? I was under the impression if it has NTSC playback there should be any other inssues about whether it has a separated decoder to convert to colour.
PS shoul I hook up my DVD to the TV using The RGB scart or the S video???

HI,I shouldn`t worry I`m no expert but has long has your TV is NTSC capable any player should play-back in colour including RI discs,I`m quite satisfied with my NS700,and thanks to everyone who replyed to my message about.RCE discs.gary
