Page 1 of Lidl`s £40 satellite system

Lidl have a satellite box and dish for £40. Cannot find any details on the web but was wondering what free to air stations you can actually receive with this setup.
Rocky..
Maybe the free European Channels which is mostly non-english.
If it`s Digital it`s the bargain of the century, I think it has to be analogue, making it as much use as playing your DVDs on an old Cylinder Disk player. However it must be noted that later cylinder disk players could play SVCDs if you could get the wife to turn the handle twice as fast.

I believe it is analogue only, and picks up a few free non-English speaking channels. Oh and Eurosport I expect :-)

Hello,
I`d understood the Lidl £40 satellite system to be able to pickup digital, does anyone know this for certain or know where further information on this system can be found?. Is DiSEqC analogue or digital?.
Thank you in advance!!!!.
Regards.
I haven`t read the spec, but it may mislead by saying `digital lnb` or similar. The newer LMBs will work both analogue & digital. Read my & Clayts comment above about what system we think it is. DiSEqC can be used in a variety of ways. If you have two or more dishes (or LNBs) pointed at different satellites you can assign it to each dish (lnb). So if you have a dish pointed at Astra, another at Hotbird, you assign number one on the receiver & the dish pointed at Astra will operate, assign 2 to Hotbird & so on. You can work 4 dishes that I know of maybe more. You can also use it to operate a movable dish. I have to say it is easier to do than it reads from me, but I think you get the drift.
