Hi,
Just got one of these Venturer home cinema system things from tescos. It plays well and sounds great. Region hack work and could switch off macrovision but how will these RCE dvds affect me? Will I be able to play them. I was also wondering if it is poss to play VCDs e.t.c in one of these?
Thks in advance

RE: RCE and the Venturer home cinema
Sorry Phil, I can`t answer your queries but do you have a Black & White start up screen, which then changes to colour when a DVD is played? I have the same m/c and asked a few questions last week no one gave me much feedback.!
RE: RCE and the Venturer home cinema
The start up screen I get is not b&W but there arn`t many colours in it anyway.
Just incase this helps anyone else in this situation I have found that RCE disks can be played in multi-region players if the player can be manually set to the region from which the disk was intened i.e. Region1

RE: RCE and the Venturer home cinema
I also have this system, and find it very good.
To get rid of the black and white start screen, i had to change the set up to RGB video. All was fine then.
I also have a VCD that plays ok on the machine. But i have others that don`t. Does anyone know what VCDs can be played on the machine? I have tried making some with Nero5, and although they seem to copy ok, they just don`t work? Anyone who knows about VCDs on this machine please post.
