SCART SOCKET ADAPTORS - ANY GOOD???

Geoggy (Harmless) posted this on Friday, 5th July 2002, 12:59

I`ve run out of SCART sockets on the back of my Phillips pw286515.

I notice Argos sell SCART adaptors that allow you to plug 3 SCART leads into 1 socket.

My question is - are these any good?

If i plug 3 pieces of kit into 1 and then plug the SCART into the RGB AV1 socket, will i get RGB for all my kit?

Is there any interference?

HELP!! Thanks!

Argos do two - I`m pretty sure at least one of them passes RGB.

Here`s some info I dug out of a newsgroup (uk.media.home-cinema)

The one with Argos code 534/0370 has switches to press down to switch between sources, (but apparently you can press them all down at once to allow anything through - I`d imagine it might get ugly if more than one source was on at a time, though!). It apparently also is fully wired and therefore supports RGB.

The other one (Argos code 535/1321 ) does not pass RGB.

Looks like the argos one is the answer! Sorted.
