anyone know how to enable vcd`s to play on dansai 852. cant find manual.

have a look on www.vcdhelp.com.
You shouldn`t have to `enable` VCD. It may be that your player doesn`t like certain brands of CD-Rs (if they are ones you have created yourself)

Dansai 852 plays VCD and SVCD `out of the box`

thanks, it wouldn`t play one a friend gave me to try, but plays two i made myself.
