Page 1 of Did my hack work?

I have a Samsung V5000 (SV-DVD1E) player. I`ve performed the remote hack and the player made a bit of a noise (similar to when it reads a disc for a second) after I entered it to be region free.

I don`t currently have any other discs than my own normal region so I was wondering if there was a way I could check that this hack has worked before purchasing any other region coded discs (or does it sound like it has infact worked?)
