Hi - I`ve been trying to hack the phillips 704 to make it multi-region, I downloaded the OmniRemote software to my palm, pressed the 955 multizone button but the DVD player does not respond (yes, it`s on). I don`t see the 704 model listed on any of the hack pages... is it unhackable? Any help would be appreciated, it`s a zone 1 and I now live in zone 4 and need it to be multi. Thanks.

tell me your country , please put all numbers in to the model include all letters.

The machine was purchased in the USA, we`re now in Australia. The front of the player says "Phillips DVD 704 DVD/Video CD/CD Player" That`s all it has..... hope this sheds some light.

Hi all. I have the exact same problem with my Philips 702 model i bought in the USA. The omniremote button (955 multizon) does not work. Can any1 help ? I need to make it zone-free to play region 4 discs !!

hi...again.....try with LG codes..... can you try to open your dvd?....try to find a big chip with the refer LG
