Page 1 of X WAVE DVD PLAYER IN AMERICA HACKABLE?

Hi, today I got a free dvd player from earthlink, I cant tell what model it is all i know the serial number on the back starts with 01BW how can i tell which one it is? Well my main question is thier a way to change the region on this one, i tried the steps on this site i got to the menu but It would not let me change the region 1 to any other region. I tried all the arrow keys it wouldnt let me change it.
