Does anyone know of a hack for the Samsung DVD-709 which will allow it to play mp3`s off a CD?

No way, unfortunately.
If the 709 could play MP3s, it would have been advertised in bold letters on the box, not hidden away behind a remote hack! ;-)

Hi, I have a 709 (2 years old) i haven`t checked the firmware version (say its early version) but can you let me know if you had any problems with the hack, what version of the firmware you were using and where I can get an upgrage from?
