Page 1 of THOMSON DTH-4200 region hack

A remote control code exist to make this new DTH-4200 DVD player region 2 and 1 free, do you have it ?
Obviously, it seems to be very simple, many stores are able to do it in 1 or 2 minutes.

You know, you could`ve just scrolled down ten lines or so and you would have seen the link to this hack... .-)

Anyway, for your pleasure, a repeated showing:

(This also works for 3300, 3600, 4000, 4500)

Remove disc from tray. Close it. Now you should have a Thomson logo on the screen.
Press Repeat 38767 on the remote control.
"02" is displayed on the screen. Press 9. "9" is shown. Now press the Open button on the player`s front. Press Standby on the remote.

Done!

thank you for this post. I`m not sure whether my Thomson is regionfree now, but something has happened... Unfortunately, I don`t have any Non-RC2-DVD`s.

Do you know a hack for macrovision off, too? This is a problem for me, because my TV set is rather old and I have to connect via my vcr. The movie`s brightness changes all the time... :-(

I tried this hack with the 3600, it works :-))) No more error message when using a region 1 disc, no more macrovision.... perfect!

I`m from Hungary. I have Thomson DTH-4200 DVD player, but your region and macrovision disabled procedures it not working.

On my TV screeen is "03","08",..."07" displayed, and not "02". Macrovision disabled is not work too.
I have Aiwa RC-TN500EX remote control , but i have not Shift-Random Button.
Can YOU help me?

Please help !! I have followed your instructions to change to region 1 , I now want to change it back so I can watch a region 2 DVD. The same code does not seem to work.

Any suggestions ???

I`ve got the same problem with my DTH-3600. I changed the code but now I can not rechange it.
The code don`t work anymore.
Any Solutions ??
