can anyone help me i bought a philips dvd 750 at a car boot sale on Sunday i payed £75 for it but when i got it home and turn it on it ask me for a code it looks like there is a child lock on it is there any way i can get it off.....can anyone help

I have been told that if you hold down the stand-by button then switch the power on to the unit (at the mains) it should set it back to factory default.
