Hack Help Forum
Can anyone help with the regional remote codes for this player as i can`t find it on the net anywhere please help if you can HULKER.
This is a maulti region player, therfore no hack is required... However if you know how to switch off the subtitles that has defaulted to on making me have to switch it off every time that would be great
Are you sure it`s Multi Region, as it doesn`t say that anywhere on it, or in the manual. and I would also like to know, how to change the default subtitle from coming on.
I am reliably informed (by Bush) that all Bush/Alba DVD players are multi-region machines. I am considering buying a 2004, but am suspicious that there are virtually no (UK) reviews available anywhere. The 2000, 2002, 2009 are well documented, so is the 2004 brand new? And is it the best one in the range? Any thoughts appreciated.
I`m very sure I have some region 1 DVDs and they play fine. I only have a few so I don`t know if there are any that won`t play - haven`t found one yet...
By the way isn`t that GUI crap!!
Does anyone have an email address or web site address for bush so I can ask them myself if its mutil region...I recently bought a 2004, and I`m sure I read somewhere in the manual that it only plays region 2 DVD, and now I cant seem to find it. without spending £20 on a DVD to test it ( which will be wasted if it only plays region 2) contacting Bush direct seems to be the only option. But if you go to electronic retailers such as currys or dixions and mention the word multi region DVD players they will tell you that no straight to retailer DVD is multi region. Infact I was also relaibaly informed that multi region DVDs in the UK are only available after they have been chipped after leaving the original manufacturer. In otherwords voiding any warranties etc on the product.
I found out how to make it multi region!!!!!!
Turn the system on and place a DVD in it, play the DVD, then press stop, resume stop should appear, then press set up on your remote control, a set up display should appear on your screen. which has Language, Scart out, Audio, TV.Type, TV.Sys, with options chosen next to each one, press down on the remote untill TV.Sys is highlighted, mine was set as PAL60, press select, to change the setting from PAL60, to one of the following (PAL60R - AUTO - NTSC - PAL) choose AUTO to make it region free, or NTSC to play region 1 discs, or just change it back and forth when wanting to play a different region disc.
Hope this helps.
HI CHUCKY. I FOLLOWED YOUR INSTRUCTIONS ON MY 2004 DVD PLAYER AND WHEN I SELECTED THE TV.SYS SECTION AND PRESSED SELECT THE PLAYER WENT CRAZY. THE SCREEN IS JUMPING ALL OVER THE PLACE AND THERE IS A HUM COMING FROM THE MACHINE WHICH WASN`T THERE PREVIOUSLY. IS THIS NORMAL OR IS IT A PROBLEM WITH MY TV OR DVD?
It works perfect on my TV, do you know if your tv is capable of showing NTSC, your tv needs to be multi standard to do so, for more information on the instructions on changing regions on the dvd player, go to page 19 in the dvd bush 2004 manual.
Yes the 2004 is a relatively new player. I also hadn`t seen any reviews but decided to risk. I believe it is of a higher spec than the models you mention. I`m impressed with both the picture and sound quality. The build in dolby digital decoder does a good job and I think its their only DTS capable machine.
