Just bought an Ariston DVD-2000 , looks good enough , well for £140 anyway. I`ve gone into the engineer mode as per instructions on this site and there is a page which states macrovision. Does anyone know how to disable it?

yes you can disable macrovision so you can copy 2 vhs?

What`s the code then? At present it reads 1 , to disable is it 0?

geordie follow these instructions to access the hidden menu first switch on the player then with the remote = 1 open the tray 2 press 7 3 press 7 4 press enter you will now be in the hidden menu go to the bottom of the page where it says next page. = press enter and it will say macrovision 1, to disable macrovision press enter twice then press setup to return to normal page. Every time you switch your machine off you`ll have to disable macro each time hope this will help you. podracer
