Logix 3300D / Schneider 855 / Goodmans GDVD125

It appears that these machine use similar firmware as the region hacks are the same. Let me know if this is the case and if there are any others which are "clones"

Schneider 855 firmware woked on my Logix 3300D

I am thinking of buying the Logix 3300D - how do you rate it?

It`s not bad. The only downsides are -
1.) SVCD playback - it doesn`t like the really high quality ones
2.) No long filename or directory support in MP3 playback

other than that works fine for me... mainly for VCDs from my PC. If you are getting it from deal direct - you can buy the player on it`s own for £129.99. I have also seen it in Tescos

We believe a second secret menu exists in the firmware, but no one has found a way to access it yet. Someone elsewhere posted a solution for the Goodmans I think, which involved playing a region 0 disc immediatly after switch on and then playing your protected DVD straight afterwards, but I have not tested it because I have no use for it yet! Look around for the Goodmans 125 posts, as this uses the same firmware (I Think) as does the Schneider. If anyone out there knows of a different way to access the secret second menu, let us all know, cos it would be of great interest

I just took my second Logix 3300D back to tesco . It would not play SVCDs without skipping on the audio like a buffer underrun. I now have a thompson 5000 and its fine on everthing including MP3s
