Hitachi DV P515e, Thomson 4000 or 3300 does not work

I have tried hack for Thomson 4000 and 3300. It does not work. Why? Doesnt all 515 work on this hack? Have I done something wrong? Now I will let a retailer fix it for a lot of money. What can I do else?

I`ve got the same problem, and it`s due to a new bios in the p515e.

The old version was hackable with the Thomson hack mentioned above. I was told that this version couldn`t be hacked and was offered my money back, or a trade for a new player.

I`m therefore trading it in for a Pioneer 444. But I`m pretty satisfyed with my P515e, except the fact that it won`t play my Region 1 dvd`s.

Try using the 3300 hack but with the five-digit code 57538 instead of 38767. This is required for newer versions of the Samsung DVD-M series firmware, and may also be the case for the Hitachi and Thomson variants.

Please email me when you try the hack. I am thinking about getting a 515e as I heard its good, but I need it to play R1 disks too.
