Page 1 of LG HT752TH multi-region code needed

Hey,

I was wondering if someone could help me.

I recently spent a lot of money buying the LG HT752TH which is locked into Region 2 not taking into consideration that half my collection is encoded in Region 1. I get home, set everything up and then realise that I can`t play my Region 1 DVDs.

I looked on the Internet, but no joy. So does anybody have any Region-Free codes for the LG HT752TH or know how I can unlock it?

I am sorry I don`t have the solution for you. I have been searching too as I am in the very same position as yourself.

Im afraid im in the same situation as you two guys.....

Tried a couple of hacks but they didnt work.
Really thought i would have had it cracked by now.
I did however hook it up with a HDMI cable last week, with some great results.

Hey guys im in the same situation also.
Away from home but found a possible solution on the net.

"For `all` LG DVD players to break code, follow these steps. It worked for me, i`m from australia, i was told it works for all LGs...

Step 1- POWER ON "NO DISC" appears on screen
Step 2- Press PAUSE, 3, 1, 4, 1, 5, 9
Step 3- "CODE_ _" appears on screen
Step 4- Click 0, PAUSE, then POWER OFF!!! that`s it!"

Hi all,

just got the LG HT752TH dvd reciever my self, first dvd i put in was region 1 and as expected it didn`t work.
Put in region 2 and it worked fine, but like others i have a number of region 1 dvd`s that i like to play.
Now i tried to find a way to get around this, what i did is click setup on the remote then scroll down to the padlock, here i could see area code set to GB.
I then scrolled onto area code then selected it then changed the GB to US, i then tried the Region 1 dvd again and it worked ok.
After watching the film i changed back to GB expecting the region 1 not to work but to my supprise both region 1-2 worked ok and am now watching both R1-2 dvd`s.
This may work for you, like it did for me and maybe it won`t but it worth a try.
If it does submit your results and let us know.

I gave it another go last night and once again no joy..

got jinxed by braddock, mine stopped playin region1 :(

I tried a different approach again, this time i put in region 1 disc and as i did i kept the pause button pressed. The screen then went blank and put a play icon in the top right hand corner of the screen i then pressed the display button to bring up some options.
In the options panel i selected chapters and selected a couple of chapters in, i could not see an image but could hear sound i then selected menu on the control and it brought it up allowing me to select the chapters.
I put in a different region 1 disc and this started a couple of chapters in as well i then played a region 2 disc then back to region 1 to find i couldnt play them when pressing pause on bootup like before.
One thing i did notice is when it says check regional code i pressed the display button to make the text disappear then kept my finger on the pause button the screen would go black and display PAL on the LCD and if i kept it pressed it would say NTSC.
Not sure if this helps anyone or anyone want to put in a regoin 1 and press pause as u do it but for a brief moment it did work for me.
If anyone got any suggestions or ideas how to get this working let us all know.

I found a way to change A LG HT752th dvd recorder into region free dvd player.

make sure there is no dvd in player
switch on dvd player
wait until it says No Disc
type in Pause 1,4,7,2

should come up with a bunch of numer and few letters:

something like

PROM EDIT: 01 47

PROM OPT: 47 42 ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ??

?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? ??

Change all number to 00 apart from the ones that are NOT question mark on this screen.

Move the cursor to 07 00 then press Pause. this should work now.

Only found out how to do by messing about!!!
