Page 1 of Naiko N2051 DVD Player

Just bought this Naiko N2051 DVD Player for my daughter this Christmas(very cheap at £98 - what a bargain) I know nothing about the player and I was wondering does anyone know if this machine can be hacked to multi-region? Has anyone heard of this machine? It`s probably a derivative of another machine.
I have a Lescon which is a great player (with the help of the shop (Debenhams) I bought it from I was able to hack it to multi-region) This site is a great site and I got recommended it from a music site just a couple of days ago
I would be very grateful if someone could help as would a little girl.

Good news, Follow these instructions below and all your problems will be solved. My sister has bought one and this is the information that she got from a computer fair.
1. Press " SET UP" on the front Panel.
2. Press " STOP"
3. Press " PREVIOUS"
4. Press " NEXT"
Then follow the instructions on the TV screen, you should finish by selecting all regions or areas.
My sister had to try a couple of times but it does work. Sorry I can`t give you any more information but, she lives out of town and this info was given to me over the Phone. It has worked on her machine and Two other family members machines
I`m sure it will work for you as well

Thanks for this information. Yes you will make a little girl very happy for Christmas. If you don`t mind, what did your sister think of the machine?
Does anyone know where this machine comes from, as I have tried searching for it on the internet and found nothing except that the name appears to be a comic cartoon character.

Did u get this from Makro, i tihkn saw this player there and was interested, but coludnt remember the name, however your post has reminded me, is the the One? If so and i can be multiregion i`ll get one.

I got one !!!!
And im impressed, has played All DVDs of all Regions, including silvers and my own DVD-Rs and DVD-RWs created on the Pioneer A03 DVD Burner.

I used the Hack to get into the Secret menu and Make it Multi region, and Joy of Joys, there is also a Menu to Disable Macrovison.

Bargain at 99 quid.

I in fact bought 2 more as christmas prezzies.

DJ Liam what hack did you use the one that Colinp said to use or what one?

What hack did you use to get multiregion and also do disable macrovision as there are a few of us out here would like to know .
if you could post it to the site step by step we would be gratfull.

As you said get them quick my local store sold there 60 stock in one day

I did use the Hack that Colin Suggested
Which is a bit misleading cos there is no SETUP button on the front panel.

1. Press " SET UP" on the Remote
2. Press " STOP"
3. Press " PREVIOUS" <<
4. Press " NEXT >>

Then you get the Factory Menu on Which you can do things like Disable Macro or Have it on Auto (Auto Kicks in if u got it connected to a Source like VCR)

You can set the region to BYPASS in the menu, which will enable playing of all region discs including RCE discs.

You can also do stuff like Disable the CSS encryption (Not sure what you would use that for)

I have so far Played CDR (VCDs, Audio and Pure MPEG) and tha same on CDRW, also Played R1 and R2 DVDs, also Region zero DVDs, Silvers and My own DVD-R and DVD-RW with no problem.

Am pleased with the unit for the money, only downside is the loader drawer seems to be a bit flimsy.
