yeah does n e 1 know if there are region codes for pioneer? or even better, one for the pioneer DV-525 ;) im a bit confused cos i was told there was, yet none are listed. strange that.

There are no built in hacks for Pioneer players. they need either firmware discs or special chipped remotes to mod them, or to be bought pre-modded from specialist dealers.
Your machine, however, is so old (over 7 years old) that it can only be modded either by being chipped, or a special firmware mod via a interface and PC. Only dealers doing that now would be the likes of multiregionupgrades.com
